Schedule of Events 

12:30 PM     Sir Knights and Candidates in formal attire and guest assemble at the Council 4183 Hall for registration. Sir Knights will proceed to the chamber, Candidates to the Anti-chamber and guests will head to the staging area. 

1:45 PM       Candidates will line up for exemplification.

           Guests will carpool for shopping excursion to Gruene Texas

 2:00 PM       Exemplification begins

 4:30 PM       Exemplification ends. 

                     Ladies and guests arrive and change into their evening attire.

 5:30 PM       New Sir Knights and their Ladies, will assemble for Mass.  All other Sir Knights in regalia will assemble. 

 6:00 PM        Mass at Sts Peter & Paul Church

 7:15 PM       Social time begins at council hall.

 7:30 PM       Banquet begins

Requirements to join the 4th Degree

Normally, 3rd degree Members in good standing of the Knights of Columbus who have been members for at least one year and are U.S. Citizens are eligible. Currently, a waiver is available for those who have been members for at least 6 months

Exemplification Fee

The Exemplification fee is $70.00, which must be submitted with the Form 4 Membership Application through your Assembly to the District Master.  A candidate “no show” without a five day notice will be accessed $30.00. 

District Master Michael Morrison must receive Form 4’s by Oct 16    Candidates make check payable to your Assembly. 

Candidates will receive a 4th Degree lapel pin, Social Baldric, and one banquet ticket. 

 

Official Dress 

Dress for the entire day is black tuxedo, white shirt(pleated or plain) No Wingtip Collars or Ruffles!! Black bowtie, black cummerbund, black plain toe shoes and black socks. 

Clergy may wear conventional dress.  Active Duty Members of the Armed Forces may wear the appropriate formal/semi-formal uniform

All Fourth Degree Members are encouraged to attend the Exemplification and Mass in Full Regalia.  Members without full regalia MUST wear official dress with social baldric.

Banquet

Candidates are guests of the Master and will be given one banquet ticket.

Candidates and Sir Knights must purchase additional banquet tickets for family members and guests through their assemblies. 

Tickets will be distributed when registering.

Banquet Tickets  - $25.00
Ladies Function - no charge

Assemblies must order meal tickets by  Oct 16.

K of C District Master’s Fund

Council Financial Secretaries must check over and sign in Section 7 of Form 4’s to verify that each candidate is a third degree member in good standing and confirm First Degree date.  The Faithful Comptroller of each assembly must forward the approved form 4’s, with proper signatures and complete information with the banquet ticket order forms and a check to the Master.

Paperwork and Checks are due to the District Master by  Oct 16.

Tuxedo Acquisition

Candidates are encouraged to purchase their tuxedo rather then renting.  The cost of a tuxedo is equal to two or three rentals.  Shop around for the best bargains.  K&G Mens store and Barry Manufacturing are two stores with good prices.
